    What I Ate Wednesday #2

It’s time for another What I Ate Wednesday! I missed last Wednesday because I was out of clinic doing vendor visits for Putnam County grocers. So if you saw a crazy curly haired girl running around the produce area grabbing them all and scanning them with her phone, it was ya girl. Let’s be real…I’m always that girl running crazy through the produce section because it’s my favorite thing. Work just gave me an excuse to spend some time doing what I love. Man, I’m really going to miss this job when I start my internship. Over the past 1.5-ish years I’ve really fallen in love with WIC. Luckily I’ll…

    May 2017 Favorites

It’s crazy to think May is officially over. I feel like it’s still 2016. How are we basically halfway through 2017?? June is going to be a very busy month. Ugh. I hate the word busy. Everyone is so busy these days. I use to strive to stay busy, thinking it was a sign I was doing everything right. Now the word just makes me roll my eyes. It seems like we think we need to be busy. Especially my generation. Or maybe the world just wants us to think we have to be busy. Idk. It’s funny how much weight the word busy can hold. It can be an insult,…

    What I Ate Wednesday #1

What I Ate Wednesday is a popular blog series that’s been taking the blogging world by storm. It’s crazy popular with food bloggers because it’s like getting to see behind the scenes. And who doesn’t love a good behind the scenes? It’s like getting to watch something you shouldn’t be, but it being totally okay. I decided to jump into this blog series world because I thought it’d be fun for you all to see what a working nutritionist and soon to be dietetic intern (#rd2be life) eats in a day! Wednesday I worked at the Cabell County clinic. I’ve been traveling a lot lately (mainly to Cabell) the past…

Ten Ways to Celebrate National Nutrition Month®

March is National Nutrition Month®, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ annual nutrition education campaign. It’s ran each year in March to remind us of the importance in eating right. This year’s theme is to “Put Your Best Fork Forward”. By doing so, you’re making the conscious choice with each bite to eat more nutritious foods. I’ve decided this year to participate in their blogroll by promoting National Nutrition Month® and encourage everyone to “Put Their Best Fork Forward”! I have this cool image on my right sidebar to show my support. Clicking on it will be sure to take you to the Academy’s page.  The Academy’s website says their…

My Newest Drink Craze + Life Talk

I’ve been finding myself gravitating from coffee and opting more and more for hot tea this season. Yogi, Traditional Medicinal Teas, and Celestial Seasonings have been my go to drinks lately. Yogi’s Roasted Dandelion Spice and Celestial Teahouse’s Dirty Chai have been my wake up and get me through the work day teas. Celestial’s Sleepytime Sinus Soother is my all time favorite sleep/sick tea combo, but it’s been super hard to find at the store. I wish I remember where I picked it up, so I’ll probably just use my Amazon Prime to get it again. I’ve been super sick lately, so the Throat Coat with Lemon Echinacea has been a…
