Influenster Daisy VoxBox

Have y’all heard of Influenster yet? Because you need to get yourself an account right now. Like… Right. Now. I started seeing some friends get boxes of completely free stuff and posting about it online. After I saw all the goodies my friends were getting I immediately messaged a friend and asked her how she was getting all this stuff. Best believe I created an account. It didn’t take long at all to get my first box completely free! This is my second box of completely free products and I’m excited to share this one with you guys!   Nature’s Bounty Probiotic Fruit Gummies—Retail value of $22.35 This was probably Aaron’s favorite product we received. I’m all about gut health and I’m slowly turning Aaron that way too. Poor guy probably hears me go on about gut health at least one time a day. I’ve always tried to eat a […]

What I Ate Wednesday #2

It’s time for another What I Ate Wednesday! I missed last Wednesday because I was out of clinic doing vendor visits for Putnam County grocers. So if you saw a crazy curly haired girl running around the produce area grabbing them all and scanning them with her phone, it was ya girl. Let’s be real…I’m always that girl running crazy through the produce section because it’s my favorite thing. Work just gave me an excuse to spend some time doing what I love. Man, I’m really going to miss this job when I start my internship. Over the past 1.5-ish years I’ve really fallen in love with WIC. Luckily I’ll get to do a short internship rotation at my current job and dabble a bit more in other areas of community nutrition. I can confidently say I love community nutrition and this is where I belong. Tuesday I did my grocery […]

May 2017 Favorites

It’s crazy to think May is officially over. I feel like it’s still 2016. How are we basically halfway through 2017?? June is going to be a very busy month. Ugh. I hate the word busy. Everyone is so busy these days. I use to strive to stay busy, thinking it was a sign I was doing everything right. Now the word just makes me roll my eyes. It seems like we think we need to be busy. Especially my generation. Or maybe the world just wants us to think we have to be busy. Idk. It’s funny how much weight the word busy can hold. It can be an insult, a brag, or even an excuse. Busy just has such a negative connotation for me–which is exactly the opposite outlook I want on next month (or my life). So let me reword all that…June is going to be very demanding […]

What I Ate Wednesday #1

What I Ate Wednesday is a popular blog series that’s been taking the blogging world by storm. It’s crazy popular with food bloggers because it’s like getting to see behind the scenes. And who doesn’t love a good behind the scenes? It’s like getting to watch something you shouldn’t be, but it being totally okay. I decided to jump into this blog series world because I thought it’d be fun for you all to see what a working nutritionist and soon to be dietetic intern (#rd2be life) eats in a day! Wednesday I worked at the Cabell County clinic. I’ve been traveling a lot lately (mainly to Cabell) the past few months as we hiccup through some staffing turnover. This puts me over half an hour from home, so going home on lunch isn’t an option. I have to make sure I have everything I need before I head out […]

My Newest Drink Craze + Life Talk

I’ve been finding myself gravitating from coffee and opting more and more for hot tea this season. Yogi, Traditional Medicinal Teas, and Celestial Seasonings have been my go to drinks lately. Yogi’s Roasted Dandelion Spice and Celestial Teahouse’s Dirty Chai have been my wake up and get me through the work day teas. Celestial’s Sleepytime Sinus Soother is my all time favorite sleep/sick tea combo, but it’s been super hard to find at the store. I wish I remember where I picked it up, so I’ll probably just use my Amazon Prime to get it again. I’ve been super sick lately, so the Throat Coat with Lemon Echinacea has been a lifesaver for both me and Aaron. He’s really been digging the Breathe Easy, but I’m not a huge fan of the taste. Nighty Night gave me and Aaron both some SUPER strange dreams, but some of the most restful sleep […]
