    Strawberry Blueberry Spring Mix Salad

I love a good salad. There’s so many different types and ways to enjoy them. Heck, stuff them in a wrap and it can change the whole game. I’ve been craving a good steak salad lately. There was this awesome place when we use to live in Morgantown called Salad Works and it was THE BOMB. They would make steak on the spot for you for your salad. God I miss that place. Since moving, there’s really no good place that offers a quick salad to go close to where we live. Well, besides Panera. Panera can definitely be a great option, but it can also be a little pricey. I…

Are you following Rachael DeVaux? Because you totally should be. Rachael, aka Rachael’s Good Eats, is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist based in Washington (the state) who shares creative ideas and recipes for a healthy diet. Plus her Instagram is drool worthy. She has a pretty popular cashew chocolate chip cookie skillet that’s making IG go crazy. Ya girl is definitely trying that one next. I knew as soon as I saw Rachael share her behind the scenes of making her zoodles topped with organic turkey meatballs and cilantro avocado sauce I just had to give them a try. Southwestern Turkey Chili

It’s a little hard to tell with all this crazy weather we’ve been having, but summer is quickly approaching! I loved summer because it was always associated with a more laid back style of life. No matter how crazy life got, I could count on summer to give me a breather. Summer was good for my soul. Fast-forward and now summer means everyone is gearing up for vacations aka work gets crazier trying to cover shifts because everyone’s tryna burn through that PTO. This summer is a little different though. I found out in early April that I matched to my first choice Dietetic Internship (eeeek!!). So that means I’ll…

    Homemade Pumpkin Spiced Chip Cookies

One of my favorite things about the food community is it seems there is always a national something day or month.  Last week hosted national homemade cookie day, so you know I had to celebrate accordingly. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get this post up on the day of or as soon as I would have liked due to traveling. What counts is I’m still going to share a delicious homemade cookie recipe with you! Not to brag, but cookies are my forte. Ya girl can make some bomb cookies. In college, my friends use to show up at my apartment with cookie supplies in hopes I would make them cookies. Every time I go to…

    Pumpkin Spiced Muffins

Happy first day of fall! Fall is my absolute favorite season—cooler days, crisp leaves crunching beneath your feet, chunky sweaters, dark colored lipsticks, oversized sweaters, stylish boots. I mean, is there anything better than sweater weather? If you answered yes please DM me so I can either know about it or pray for you. I kicked off the season the only way I know how—breaking out the pumpkin pure for pumpkin flavored everything! My first recipe of the season is an oldie, but a goodie. Behold, chocolate chip pumpkin spiced muffins. These little morsels are quite popular around the foodie community. I grew up eating them from my mom’s kitchen and started making them with my friends in…
