What I Ate Wednesday #4

If I’m being open and honest (which I always try my best to be with you guys), I’m still struggling in the mornings. I think it’s some combination of every day/week is different, my long commute, not being consistent with my bedtime, and failing to plan my mornings better. For the most part I’m handling my snacks, lunch, and dinner well throughout the day. Breakfast is just my downfall. I have some breakfast foods that I thought were quick and easy (toast with nut butter and frozen burritos), but taking the time to heat them just isn’t in the cards for me right now. What I Ate Wednesday #3

This is an exciting WIAW (What I Ate Wednesday) for me! This is my first time doing one as a dietetic intern. Before, I felt like my WIAW were all pretty similar because my schedule was pretty standard. Now my schedule is ever changing! I’m excited to share how my meals differ with my lifestyle change. Today was my week 1 of rotations and my second day back at the old WIC office. I’m still adjusting to the time and schedule changes aka we were rushing to get out the door this morning. I needed something that traveled well and I could manage eating while driving so I ended up with this protein bar and my coffee. It’s time for another What I Ate Wednesday! I missed last Wednesday because I was out of clinic doing vendor visits for Putnam County grocers. So if you saw a crazy curly haired girl running around the produce area grabbing them all and scanning them with her phone, it was ya girl. Let’s be real…I’m always that girl running crazy through the produce section because it’s my favorite thing. Work just gave me an excuse to spend some time doing what I love. Man, I’m really going to miss this job when I start my internship. Over the past 1.5-ish years I’ve really fallen in love with WIC. What I Ate Wednesday is a popular blog series that’s been taking the blogging world by storm. It’s crazy popular with food bloggers because it’s like getting to see behind the scenes. And who doesn’t love a good behind the scenes? It’s like getting to watch something you shouldn’t be, but it being totally okay.
