Woofstock & Wieners, a Festival for Fido!

Last weekend Aaron and I took advantage of some nice weather and attended Woofstock and Wieners, a Festival for Fido. The event was part of Charleston’s FestivALL and sponsored by the local animal shelter, Kanawha County Humane Association. I’m a huge animal lover, so naturally one of my big goals since moving to the area has been to get settled enough to started volunteering/donating to the shelter. All benefits from the event went directly to KCHA, so I was totally game. Pumpkin Spiced Muffins

Happy first day of fall! Fall is my absolute favorite season—cooler days, crisp leaves crunching beneath your feet, chunky sweaters, dark colored lipsticks, oversized sweaters, stylish boots. I mean, is there anything better than sweater weather? If you answered yes please DM me so I can either know about it or pray for you. Styles ranged from dressed to the nines, to casual, to workout, each looking undeniably presentable. The only thing not to love? Parking was a total nightmare (I’m talking $20 a day). If parking bothered the locals, you couldn’t tell. Residents of all…

    Overnight Oats Make Ahead Breakfast

There’s no denying that overnight oats had their “moment” on food blogs thanks to Pinterest. They’re actually how I first discovered food blogs. But I never brought myself to try them simply because I’m not a big oatmeal fan. I always hated it growing up, but over the past year or so it’s one of the foods (like tuna or black coffee) I’ve tried to train myself to like for the health benefits. I started off easing into oats by just adding a scoop to my morning or post work out protein smoothie (blueberries + oats + unsweetened almond milk + protein powder = my go to perfection). Eventually I ended…
