    Homemade Pumpkin Spiced Chip Cookies

One of my favorite things about the food community is it seems there is always a national something day or month.  Last week hosted national homemade cookie day, so you know I had to celebrate accordingly. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get this post up on the day of or as soon as I would have liked due to traveling. What counts is I’m still going to share a delicious homemade cookie recipe with you! Not to brag, but cookies are my forte. Ya girl can make some bomb cookies. In college, my friends use to show up at my apartment with cookie supplies in hopes I would make them cookies. Every time I go to…

    Pumpkin Spiced Muffins

Happy first day of fall! Fall is my absolute favorite season—cooler days, crisp leaves crunching beneath your feet, chunky sweaters, dark colored lipsticks, oversized sweaters, stylish boots. I mean, is there anything better than sweater weather? If you answered yes please DM me so I can either know about it or pray for you. I kicked off the season the only way I know how—breaking out the pumpkin pure for pumpkin flavored everything! My first recipe of the season is an oldie, but a goodie. Behold, chocolate chip pumpkin spiced muffins. These little morsels are quite popular around the foodie community. I grew up eating them from my mom’s kitchen and started making them with my friends in…

    White Watermelon Summer Sangria

I’m well known with my close friends for making ah-mazing homemade sangria. Probably because I had my sangria phase. No seriously, there was a fresh pitcher of sangria in my fridge every weekend (read: daily) for about a solid year. I was known for showing up to a gathering with a pitcher in my hand. Benefits of living in the same apartment complex as your best friends, easy transportation. I’m not much of a white wine drinker. I tend to like my wine dark, like my coffee, wardrobe, and soul. That being said, there is nothing like a Riesling sometimes. It’s like Riesling was created for sangria. Trust me on…

    Overnight Oats Make Ahead Breakfast

There’s no denying that overnight oats had their “moment” on food blogs thanks to Pinterest. They’re actually how I first discovered food blogs. But I never brought myself to try them simply because I’m not a big oatmeal fan. I always hated it growing up, but over the past year or so it’s one of the foods (like tuna or black coffee) I’ve tried to train myself to like for the health benefits. I started off easing into oats by just adding a scoop to my morning or post work out protein smoothie (blueberries + oats + unsweetened almond milk + protein powder = my go to perfection). Eventually I ended…

    Banana Zucchini Chocolate Chip Muffins

Has it really been almost a month since my last real blog post?  I keep trying out all these new meals and thinking how perfect they’d be for the blog. Problem is, when I come up with these, I’m usually just grabbing stuff from my kitchen, throwing it together, and hoping it works. Only after I’ve finished eating and the Instagram comments “blog or it didn’t happen” start rolling in I realize I didn’t write anything down or snap any other photos. Oops. Everyone seemed to really enjoy and like the concept behind make ahead breakfasts, so why not keep the people happy? These are undoubtedly my favorite ones yet. I’ve made three batches so far and still…
