    Woofstock & Wieners, a Festival for Fido!

    Last weekend Aaron and I took advantage of some nice weather and attended Woofstock and Wieners, a Festival for Fido. The event was part of Charleston’s FestivALL and sponsored by the local animal shelter, Kanawha County Humane Association. I’m a huge animal lover, so naturally one of my big goals since moving to the area has been to get settled enough to started volunteering/donating to the shelter. All benefits from the event went directly to KCHA, so I was totally game.     White Watermelon Summer Sangria

    I’m well known with my close friends for making ah-mazing homemade sangria. Probably because I had my sangria phase. No seriously, there was a fresh pitcher of sangria in my fridge every weekend (read: daily) for about a solid year. I was known for showing up to a gathering with a pitcher in my hand.     Overnight Oats Make Ahead Breakfast

    There’s no denying that overnight oats had their “moment” on food blogs thanks to Pinterest. They’re actually how I first discovered food blogs. But I never brought myself to try them simply because I’m not a big oatmeal fan.
